Why
[Buildcare]
Spinal cord injuries change lives in an instant. For thousands of Australians, finding suitable housing is just one of many daily challenges, with many Individuals being forced into Aged Care facilities in their 30's + 40's.
Buildcare is a charity forged through the experience of Co-Founder Jason Apps. We use our knowledge of the building process and relationships within the industry to work towards our goals of creating accessible house for people living with SCI and funding vital research to find a cure for SCI.

Funding vital research towards a cure for spinal cord injury
With a goal to see some major change in the outlook of spinal cord injuries in the coming years, Buildcare contribute the revenue and profits from our accessible housing developments to leaders in the field to aide progress and advance research and therapies to cure paralysis.
Project
[One]
Situated in rolling distance from every amenity available in Mayfield, on a generous flat block, Buildcare are proud to announce the procurement of their first residential property in the Newcastle region.
Partnering with Webber Architects for the design phase of the project, we will be breaking ground in early 2024 as we demolish the existing residence, replacing it with four striking, custom designed and highly automated, two bedroom independent living units, with the inclusion of a studio for overnight carers accommodation.
If you would like to get involved in this project with a donation or collaboration of services, please register your interest here.
